Nothing tastes as good as fit feels
So many times, I hear of people trying to lose weight by only working out. They seem to think that as long as they work out, they can eat whatever they want. I hate to break this to you, but when you work out, what you eat matters even more! You are expecting your body to do things and perform tasks that it is not used to doing but you want it to do all of that new work with nothing but the same junk you put in it all the time? You know better... If you want your car to perform better, smoother and faster, you use better gas so that there isn't a bunch of build up and junk in the engine. The same principle applies to your body.

When starting an exercise program of any kind, your eating habits need to change in order to allow your body to perform the new tasks. If you want to lose fat, how do you really think you will do that if you keep eating cheese on everything and a gallon of ranch dressing with every vegetable? I know that it seems daunting and totally boring to even think about going a single day without tons of cheese, ranch dressing or salt. But when you actually get in the groove of doing so, you will (believe it or not) start to crave healthy food. I'm not saying that if you eat one or two clean meals a day that you will suddenly lose 20 pounds and miraculously fall in love with vegetables. However, if you take a good two weeks to retrain your body to eat things that make you healthy instead of hearty, when you go to eat a highly-processed food, it just won't taste the same as it used to.

I am a big food lover! Please understand that! But I love food so much that I try to enjoy it as much as I can as often as possible. Food should be colorful, flavorful and healthful. Love your body enough to love your healthy food and your body will love you back. Promise!
